Now, this is all I use in the fall and winter put together. However, you should remember that I am not heating my home with a fireplace only. To do this would probably take three times this much. Finally there is the simplicity of it all. With natural gas fireplaces all you have to do is walk in the room and flip a switch. I think this is the main thing many people enjoy. Me on the other hand, I love building a fire each time. This is probably linked back to my childhood. It's something I always did with my father. Therefore it has a certain nostalgic quality to it.
